Stem cells are unspecified cell inside the human body. Since it has not yet mature, Stem cell has the ability to turn/grow into any kind of cell (i.e muscle frame cell, beta pancreas cell, bone and joint cell etc.) and continuously regenerate itself.
Due to its ability to regenerate, many parties/institutions have done research and development on stem cell.
Today, information on research and stem cell therapy can easily be obtained.
Indonesian doctors have also done a lot of research in various scientific fields. Doctors are often offered many information by marketers through scientific forums ( seminar and conferences) or first hand basis in their private practice on how far these research have been develop and the knowledge of its application have created interest among doctors as well as in the community.
To commemorate PB IDI 60th birthday, the research and development sector in cooperation with PB IDI, for the first time will hold an event, which will discuss the applied development of stem cell in Indonesia. Detailed discussions will be in the form of research reports and applied clinical experiences.
IDI will also provide competent local and international speakers who have had practical clinical experiences. There will also be panel discussions in correlation with its Ethical, Legal Aspects, and Social impact in practicing a research as well as its clinical application.

1. The knowledge on the development of stem cell.
